growing a more resilient and just food system for all
Farmer Ellee (Igoe)
Hey there, I'm Ellee, a co-owner at Solidarity Farm since 2012. I am a mother to three free-spirited children ages 9, 6 and 3. In addition to my fabulous farming adventure along side these three kiddos, I spent seven years leading backpacking, river rafting and rock climbing expeditions with young people of all ages in Eugene, Oregon. I was also the lead coordinator at the Pacific Beach Teen Center and the New Roots Youth Farm at Crawford High School. I love sharing the magic of our farm with young people and families!
Farmer Bea (Alvarez)
Bea Alvarez is an Uruguayan native, raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since moving to San Diego in 2010 she’s been a part of several environmental and educational initiatives driven by innovation, sustainability, community, and the development of positive leadership for the next generation. Bea’s main areas of interest include agroecology, outdoors education, organic farming, water conservation, food security, natural building, recycling, landscaping, permaculture, and regenerative practices. She enjoys working with youth, community groups, and collaborative environments that nurture growth, foster empowerment and inspire us to reconnect with the natural world.
Farmer Nan (Cavazos)
Farmer Nan is the hub of knowledge and action at Solidarity Farm. He bottomlines our production, cares for the animals, and in his free time, cares for his three children. Before launching his career as a farmer, Nan co-directed Ecology Action in Austin, Texas and played professional basketball for the Tiborones de Mazatlan.
